Florence Ann Elling Tripoli, passed away on September 9, 2019 at the age of 93. She was born on March 5, 1926 in Penn Yan, New York to Fred and Helen Elling. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, with whom she was married for 50years, her twin sister Frances Marie Lawson, brothers Milfred and Oscar Elling. She is survived by her daughters JoAnn (Bruce) Mowers, Frances (Dude)Kuck, Christine Tripoli and her sons Mark(Sally)Tripoli and Matthew(Karen)Tripoli. She leaves behind 12 surviving grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews
Flo was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy and Rochester Business Institute (1944) from the School of Business Administration and Accountancy. She worked as a bookkeeper for an upholstery shop in Rochester, NY. In the early days of computing (1962) Flo became certified to wire and operate fundamental IBM machines. With her new found skills, she was employed by the Gates-Chili Central School District.
Among her many talents, Flo was known to sew, knit, make wedding cakes for friends and family; create gingerbread houses for her grandchildren; build wood crafts she designed and decorated; and participated in the design and building of her beloved cabin in the Arizona mountains.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday September 28 at 11:00AM at the Church of the Master Presbyterian, located at 6659 E. University Dr. Mesa, AZ 85205 with visitation @ 10:30AM
The family of Florence Tripoli wishes to extend its deep gratitude for all your thoughts and prayers.
