Evelyn Grace Pyles, 90 years and 19 days, a retired administrative assistant, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, June 15, 2020 as a result of COVID-19 in Mesa Arizona. She had been in rehabilitation recovering from bowel surgery since April 23, 2020. Evelyn was born in New Richland, Logan County, Ohio on May 27, 1930, the fourth of six children of the late John F. and Eunice M. Mann. She was married to Maynard I. Pyles on November, 23, 1950 and he preceded her in death and now she joins him. She was also preceded in death by four of her siblings and grandson, John M. Hagerman.
Evelyn’s survivors include their two sons, Richard Pyles (Becky Stockard) and Timothy (Kimberly) Pyles and two daughters, Linda Anderson and Laura Campbell. There are 10 grandchildren, and at least 7 great-grand children. Other survivors include her sister, Sharon Newton, and her family as well as many other nieces and nephews. Services are deferred due to COVID-19 quarantine. Burial will be at the City of Mesa Cemetery along with the remains of Mickey, Maynard and Evelyn’s beloved Toy Fox Terrier. She will be deeply missed by her children, family and friends.
