Rio Lynne (Busse) Garcia, born in Ladysmith, Wi., October 4, 1951, was called home to Heaven, Saturday, August 28, 2021. At the time of her passing, she was in hospice care at Memory Care Assisted Living at Scottsdale Village Square, Scottdale, AZ. We give thanks that as a young child, at the knee of her Sunday School teacher, she prayed to accept Jesus as her Savior and so are confident she now dwells with Him, whole in body and mind.

Rio is survived by two sons, Gregory Garcia (Sherry) and Michael Garcia (Caryn), granddaughter, Alexis Ann Garcia Wiest, sister Lorene (Richard) Lambert, niece Cari (Michael) Cusinato, great-niece, Laura Cusinato and great-nephew, Nate Cusinato. She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore J. Busse and Patricia J. (Evans) Busse.

From her youth, Rio was a talented pianist practicing and performing with the Elmwood Park Bible Church Orchestra and serving as accompanist to vocal soloists. She also accompanied various school choirs while a student at Elgin High School and spent many evenings at home at the piano, Mom at the organ and Lorene on the violin.

Throughout her life, Rio lived in Wisconsin, Illinois, New Jersey, Nevada, and Arizona. She completed her elementary and high school education in Elgin, IL and obtained her Bachelor of Business Degree in Phoenix, Arizona. During her career, she worked as a project manager for several large corporations. Besides her family, she had a deep love of and concern for animals, particularly dogs and horses.
