Sherry Ann Owens
11/07/1967 - 11/13/2021
Mesa, AZ
Sherry McBride-Owens, age 54, of Mesa, Arizona was born November 7, 1967, in Missouri, to Mac McBride and Margaret Shoffner. She was a beloved grandmother, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

Sherry had two children, Shawn and Danielle. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She was proud of her children and the young adults they grew up to be, and lived her life every day in their honor. She enjoyed playing at the park with her grandchildren, blowing bubbles and giving them cuddles and kisses. When Cooper and Bradley were babies, she enjoyed having them on her bed with a great big, fluffy pillow that she swore was the key to getting them to sleep soundly. She loved those boys, and the boys loved her.

Sherry always had aspirations and goals of running her own business, successfully starting two businesses of her own that she was very proud of. She was an extremely hard worker, but more importantly enjoyed making others laugh and feel loved. She enjoyed spending time outdoors including hiking, gardening, and swimming. Sherry was also the life of the party and enjoyed going country dancing, making new friends and trying new things.

Sherry is survived by her daughter, Danielle Crow (Corey), her mother, Margaret Shoffner, her father, Mac McBride, her sisters, Shirley Krause (Fred) and Sandra McBride, her brother, Barry McBride (Susie), her grandchildren, Cooper, Bradley, Ross and Danny Ray. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is predeceased by her son, Shawn Dunnem, her sister, Dallas Reed and her grandparents. Losing a child weighs heavily on the soul. Sherry had a special bond with her son. They led each other through life’s obstacles and are once again reunited.

Butterflies hold a special significance to Sherry. Not only are they beautiful, but also represent a new beginning. When you see a butterfly feel comforted, as they brought much comfort to her.

“Grief never ends, but it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith, it is the price of love.”

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 3:00 pm.
