Basil Henry Rockwell
07/10/1958 - 04/17/2022
Mesa, AZ
On April 17th, 2022 our loving father made his journey home to be with our heavenly father.

Basil was larger than life, anyone that met or worked with him never forgot his words of wisdom, quick wit and enormous love he had for his family and close friends.

In his past time Basil loved watching
his Red Socks, Cowboys and Patriots which made for fun family and friends debates. He also liked to play an occasional round of golf, he was passionate and supportive of the military, he also liked to share his memories of growing up in Rhode Island.

Basil's career in his younger years included working as a cook, and a Text Tile Mill in Rhode Island. He then ventured off to join the U.S. Army where he was stationed at Ft. Richardson, AK as a tactical satellite/microwave systems operator. After his time in the Army where he achieved the rank of Sergeant he made a change of career and started working with Loomis Fargo & Co., which he worked for over 20+ years. While there he graduated from Wayland University. His next career opportunity was working for car dealerships in sales, and then became an Automotive Finance Manager after completing a course at Automotive Dealership Institute. Basil then had an opportunity to change his career and worked at GE Capital Retail Bank/Synchrony Financial for 10 years. There he started off in collections as an account representative and quickly worked his way into management. He then decided to retire and enjoy his time with family and friends.

Basil is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Helen as well as his mother Dorothy, his father Basil, his brothers Bruce and Dennis Rockwell.

He is survived by his brother Wayne and sister-in-law Donna and children Elizabeth Rockwell,Stephanie Makuch, Basil H. Rockwell III, Marlene Chaparro, Son- in - law Mario Chaparro and Elizabeth Blockwitz. Grandchildren Carter, Charlotte, Basil H. Rockwell IV, Leticia, Miranda Rodriguez, Emiliano, Celestina Chaparro.
