Philip John Clemens Jr., passed away Friday, May 27th, 2022 in the presence of his sister at Hospice of the Valley-Eckstein Center, Phoenix, Arizona. Phil was born July 3rd, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to Philip Clemens and Barbara Clemens. Graduated from Trotwood Madison, Trotwood Ohio, in 1974 where he was on the football and wrestling team. Phil graduated from ASU with a Bachelor in Science. After graduation he worked for Marshall as a top salesman receiving several accolades.
Phil was an excellent craftsman. His ability began as a young man who had an extraordinary talent for building model airplanes. His talent grew over the years to where he had the ability to repair and make new anything from cars, houses, pools and gardens. His hobby was working on cars, inside and out. He had no problem taking them apart and putting them back together. His most recent car project was a corvette. Phil loved to ride Harley motorcycles and take photographs. Phil was a lover of animals and usually had either a dog or cat as part of his family. Phil took great pleasure in making people smile and laugh. He often surprised those around him with his fun, playful attitude. July 4th was one of his favorite days as he loved fireworks and would always say they were just for him as his birthday was the day before.
Phil was a loving son and brother who had been looking forward to attending a family reunion with his father and sister in Michigan this summer. He was a wonderful friend and hardworking man. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to a friend, neighbor or people less fortunate then himself. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
Phil’s cremated remains will be scattered in San Diego, Friday July 15th. If you would like to attend please contact his sister Cindy Clemens for details via Facebook, messenger.
