In Loving Memory of Reed Allen Goodwin

February 16, 1967-June 15, 2026

Reed Goodwin passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend.

Reed is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jennifer; his son, Michael (Diana) Goodwin; his daughter, Jada (Jason) Jurado; and his five cherished grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jacob, Avaya, Brielle, and Cienna. He is also survived by his mother, Karen Goodwin; his sister, Marcy (Alfred) Suarez; his brother, Brad (Alicia) Goodwin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Goodwin.

Reed was a tireless worker whose career focused on the copper mines in Morenci, AZ, and later cable fabrication, HVAC, and telecommunications infrastructure in Phoenix, AZ. He had a deep belief that he could fix anything and even gave himself the title of Dr. Reed. He also took great pride in his creative pursuits and business endeavors - making jerky, baking treats, along with creating art pieces for galleries.

Reed had a life long love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Some of his happiest moments were spent with family and good friends, whether hunting in the mountains, or sharing stories around the bar.

Known for his generous heart, Reed was the kind of person who would help anyone in need. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went. His loyalty, warmth, love of being with people, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Though he will be deeply missed, Reed's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the friendships he built, and the countless lives he touched through his outgoing personality and generosity.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Philly's on Elliot in Tempe. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Reed's life.
