Newton, Gary Scott, 67, passed away on August 6, 2026. Gary was born in Phoenix,
Arizona. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Cowan Newton and Zola
Ruth Newton, and his brother, Edward Lawrence Newton. Gary is survived by his wife,
Tracy, her children: Tyler Flotto, Samantha Feher (Alex), and Alexandra Brown
(Conner), his sister, Donna Owen Valenzuela (Gonzalo), niece Amy Milliron (Matthew),
nephew, Matthew Owen, great-niece, Brooke Adams, great-nephew, Aiden Milliron, and
grandson, Casey Feher.

Gary attended Washington Elementary and Cortez High School. For more than thirty-
five years, Gary was a Food Specialist in the Valley, having worked at Sysco, Shamrock,
and until his death, Acxion Foods. Over more than three decades, Gary prided himself on
the relationships he formed with his accounts. The people were at the heart of his
business.

In the last few years, Gary finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of joining a classic rock band.
Having played the guitar since early childhood, Gary created the local band known as
ALBATROSS. They played at golf courses, sports bars, private events, ASU pre-games,
and New Year’s Eve celebrations. Gary was a natural at booking the band events because
he has always been a gifted communicator and people person.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until
3:00 p.m. at The Stadium Club, located at 940 N. Alma School Rd., Chandler, Arizona
85224. Prayers and eulogies will commence at approximately 1:00 p.m.
