JoAnn Nelson, 73, died suddenly while recovering from an illness at Banner Desert
Hospital on March 25, 2017 at 11:32AM. Born July 11, 1943, to Joseph and Ann
Mataloni, she is survived by her husband, James Nelson and her sister, Theresa J.
Tait. Our many family members feel a strong sense of loss.
JoAnn was born and raised in Mason City, Iowa. She met Jim Nelson July 4th,
1962. They were married for 49 years. They both enjoyed the entrepreneur spirit.
They worked together until she went to her place of rest.
JoAnn and Jim's relationship was close and loving. JoAnn's personality was always
bubbly and inviting. She loved everyone and those who knew her were better for
it. She will be deeply missed.
A memorial service is planned in her honor for immediate family and friends.
