After a short battle with cancer, our beloved grandma, mother and wife passed away peacefully on June 2, 2017 and was surrounded by her family. Anyone who knew Irene knew how much she loved her family and she was also very loved and adored by them.

Irene grew up in a coal miners town in Pennsylvania and moved to Michigan as a young adult. Once retired she moved to Las Vegas and then Arizona to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Irene loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren, bowling, reading and pressing her luck at bingo. She was a “young” 85-year-old who could do circles around most people half her age. She was very proud of her family and loved spoiling all of her grand and great-grandchildren. Her kitchen was always open and everyone loved her amazing cooking! Her potato pancakes and pierogies were the best!

Irene was predeceased in death by her first husband George, brother Joe, sisters Caroline and Blanche. She is survived by her devoted husband Stanley, beloved daughters Cindy and Karen, sister Rosie, brother Edward, son-in-law John, her husband’s children Lisa, Ron and Bobby, grandchildren Heidi “Princess
