Ronald Stephen Walsh Sr, of Maricopa, AZ, passed away of a suddenly on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the age of 72.
Ronald was born to parents Juanita and Norman Walsh on February 17, 1945 in Buffalo, NY. He grew up as the younger of two brothers, and attended New Hartford Central High in New Hartford, NY. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Judith Elaine Hyle, whom he met working at Utica Mutual Life in Utica, NY. In 1968, he started work at IBM in Rochester, NY. In 1972, he accepted a position as analyst/programmer at Johns Manville in Manville, NJ. In 1973, he relocated his family to Denver, CO, and continued working for Johns Manville. In 1985, he began working for Wang Laboratories as a director of programming in Englewood, CO. In 1990, he relocated again to Tempe, AZ and continued to work for Wang Laboratories. From 1993 to 1998, he lived in Indianapolis, IN, still working for Wang. He relocated back to Phoenix in 1998 and started his own consulting business, from which he retired in 2002. After retirement, he continued to work as a consultant for EnChoice In Chandler, Az, where he still worked until the time of his passing.
Ronald and Judith had three children, Ronald Stephen Jr (Steve) of Chandler, AZ, born in 1965; Sheila Marie of Fayetteville, Ar, born in 1970; and Joseph Christopher of Maricopa, Az, born in 1973.
Ronald is survived by his brother, Norman Jr (Carla) of Bartlesville, Ok, Cousin, Kathy Carey; wife, Judith; his sons Ronald Jr (Shelley) and Joseph (Jenny), his daughter Sheila Luers (Rick), eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The family will be holding a memorial service on July 4th, 2017, in Gold Canyon, AZ.
