It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beloved mother. Marilyn was a beautiful soul who loved her family. She was born in Fort Madison Iowa and moved to California when she was a teenager. She fell in love with San Diego's beaches and soon fell in love with the man who became her husband, John. John preceded her in death in 1984. Marilyn had a quick wit and loved to laugh; she was the light of our family. She spoke her mind and told it like she saw it. She always saw the bright side of things, even if life was rough, she could find a silver lining . Marilyn leaves behind sons , John Jr. and daughter-in-law Valerie Guelke of Connecticut, Joseph Guelke of Arizona, and daughter and son-in-law Anna and Pete Marzahl of Arizona. Marilyn had 5 grandchildren - John, Tiffany, Christian, Joseph, and Nicholas and 7 great- grandchildren with two more are on the way this year. Her laughter, her smile, her hugs, friendship and love that she gave will be terribly missed.
