Faye Nell James, 84, of Payson, Arizona died at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Arthur and Ethel (McCorkle) Lewter. Faye married Warren K. James in 1952. They lived in MO, CO, and WA states before retiring to AZ in 1997. Faye was interested in sports, politics, and pet rescue. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Faye is survived by two daughters, Susan Rosine of Thornton, CO, and Anne James of Mesa, AZ; two sisters, Ann Wray and Rita Beal, and one brother Ronald Lewter, all of Huntsville, Alabama. Faye's husband predeceased her in 2014.
