Kenneth James Horner
12/10/1961 - 05/22/2018
Spring Valley, AZ
Ken is survived by his wife, Frances (Frannie), son Ryan with wife and children, father James and siblings
Terry, Tracy and William (Bud), along with their spouses and children, as well as extended family. Additionally, his mother-in-law, Patricia Arvizo, was very close to Ken, viewing him as her son.

Ken was Arizona grown, having been born in Phoenix, Arizona on December 10, 1961. He was the oldest of four children born to James and Judith Horner. As a young man Ken was very involved with life, being an avid participant in sports, developing a passion for playing the drums and had a real love for animals. Ken had a spiritual interest from an early age. One day while walking and enjoying the outdoors he paused meditatively and soon was carving on a rock ‘you shall know your God.’ Life experiences and service as a Navy Seal Diver left him with many unanswered questions about the purpose of life. Having attended a variety of churches he eventually turned to Jehovah’s Witnesses and found Bible based answers to his questions. Ken was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on December 12, 1988. His love for Jehovah and for people led him to volunteer his time in actively sharing in the public ministry. This same volunteer spirit moved him to freely offer his construction skills on Kingdom Hall builds, the Warwick, NY project and disaster relief. He first met the love of his life, Frances Long, at a District Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2000. They were married on January 18, 2003 and enjoyed an ongoing relationship as best friends for 15 years. Ken and Frannie shared a love for Bible truths and were known for giving of themselves to others.

Some of Ken’s favorite things included cooking, entertaining friends, playing the drums or just being at
home with Frannie and his chocolate Labs. Ken was known for having a ready smile, kind heart and being approachable. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

“Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those
in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”
