Denise Renae Redford
06/20/1962 - 06/20/2018
Mesa, AZ
Denise (Dee) Renae Redford was born on June 20th, 1962 to David and Judith Redford in Kansas City, MO. She had 4 brothers David, Mark, Chris and Timmy and 4 sisters, Deanna, Roxy, Trish and Lynn. After growing up in Missouri, Dee traveled around with her mother before moving to Texas. At the age of 16 Dee met Mark Williams whom she married prior to him moving for work to Oklahoma. Here she had her only son James, prior to moving for work with her husband once again, this time to Alaska. If you knew Dee you knew how much she loved the outdoors! Here her love and foundness for animals and being outside really shined through, as she loved everything about Alaska and thoroughly enjoyed living there until she divorced Mark a few years later. She would later travel back to Alaska on what she would say was the best vacation she ever had! Denise would eventually settle down in Arizona with James and married her second husband Dan. Dan had two children of his own Jason & Heather and together they all went on many family vacations including going up north, visiting San Diego and the beach and Disneyland all on several occasions. Dee had a wild, contagious spirit and could bring a smile to anyone she knew or was metting for the first time. Her son would eventually have a daughter named Mylie. To say Dee loved kids or her granddaughter Mylie tremendously would be an under statement! She was constantly wanting to play, shop or spend time with Mylie in anyway possible. Sadly in her later years she battled diabetes and various complications related from diabetes for years before being diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in October of last year. In the face of the hardest adversity of her life her amazing drive and determeniation to live life to the fullest was strongest! She was inspiring as she never let her health issues stop her from being who she was and would find the light in the darkest moments. Her heart was always with her family and she would tell anyone that she loved her son and granddaughter Mylie with all that was in her! She would also tell everyone to get out of the house, to travel more and to forget the bad things as they are small compared to what matters most in life. Dee passed away on her birthday, Wednesday June 20th, 2018. She wanted people to party and have a most excellent time celebrating the life she lived prior to entering God’s kingdom in Heaven. Please join us at James home on Saturday June 30th @ 6:30 to “Party Hardy!”
