Monte Eugene McBroom

Monte McBroom, 61, of Phoenix, died July 13, 2018 with his daughter and former wife by his side. He was born to the late Daniel McBroom and Mardell Fort, September 2, 1956, in Phoenix, Arizona. Monte graduated from West High School in 1974 and attended Northern Arizona University for a brief time. He enjoyed golfing and spent most of his free time listening to music and relaxing while watching his TV. He loved playing records on his Victrola, spending time with his family, and making other people smile. He was in the concrete and construction business starting back in 1975 with his father Daniel’s company, DJM Construction. He loved getting his hands dirty and helping people create new memories with their homes or businesses. Monte is survived by one child, Maddie Wargowsky, of Glendale. He is also survived by two sisters, Pat Stidman and Linda Emerson. Instead of flowers or a funeral service, the family requests that donations be made to Valley Hope Rehab and Treatment Center, a non-profit organization helping people find recovery from addiction to alcohol or drugs.

"Hi,my name is herb lawton and I worked at DJM construction in the late 70’s to the early 80’s.i was a Forman setting footings and stem panels and I remember monte in the office and he was always very nice to me.i remember Pete,bob smith,Floyd and Eugene Morgan,Kay used to give me football tickets to the Arizona wranglers home games,etc.i was wondering if Kay or anyone else is still alive or remembers me?im very sorry for you loss!i really liked working at DJM.i think robin answered the radio when I ordered concrete?lee Lopez was the estimator,if anyone would call me it would brighten my day.i only quit DJM to start my own business doing collision repairs,auto body and I did it for 35 years.the name was jetzon autobody on Robson suite 5 in Mesa but I retired a few years ago because of my lungs so I closed my business.again even if whoever reads this and didn’t work for DJM I would still like to talk to someone,thank you very much!, herb or herbie lawton"
