Anthony Carlos Santillan, age 16, died on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his residence in Scottsdale, AZ.

Tony was born on February 21, 2002, in Mesa, AZ, to parents Sabino Ramirez Santillan and Erin Frances Sohl. Tony enjoyed playing hide and seek with his cousins and brother. He was a huge fan of super hero movies. He would watch them repeatedly and was known to borrow the movies from his grandma. His favorite cartoons were Five Nights of Freddy, Paw Patrol, SpongeBob, Alvin and the Chipmunks. His favorite color was green, just like Hulk. He may not have been a child of many of words but knew how to get his point across. When he was younger he didn’t like to be touched or hugged but as he grew and made progress he became such a hugger even for something as little as bringing some food over, he would say Thank you and give a big hug. Tony is survived by his parents, Sabino and Erin; his brother, Daniel Santillan; his maternal grandmother, Cathy Sohl; his aunts Ashley Davis and Meagan Sohl; his cousins, Hope Sohl, Chance Garcia and Skyler Davis; and his beloved pet cat, Gizmo and dog Taz.

Celebration of Life services will take place at the Scottsdale United Methodist Church in Scottsdale, AZ on July 25, 2018, 11 a.m. All are invited. Please wear your favorite super hero shirt to honor Tony’s love of super heroes. Pot luck reception to follow Celebration of Life service so please bring your favorite dish to share with everyone.
