Johnny Matthew Martinez, 51 of Mesa, AZ passed away peacefully at his home on January 13, 2019. He was born on May 29, 1967 in Phoenix, AZ to Christina Reed and Jose Benny Martinez. Johnny had a love for life and always had a smile on his face. He loved his family. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, riding his motorcycle and playing golf with his sons. He has been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 2005. He was excited to accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ into his life. His greatest joy was giving service on a daily basis. He is survived by his wife, Pat and six children, Torie (Jason) Kisto, Johnathan (Cierra), Christopher, Corey, Mercedes and Jade. Two grandchildren Braxton and Elena. Three brothers and one sister. Bandito, Floyd, Robert and Sheryl Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 12 noon at the Mesa South Stake Center 2334 E. Pueblo Ave. Mesa, AZ 85204. A viewing will be held prior to the services at 10:00 am at the Stake Center. Whuz Up! Was Johnny's signature statement.
